Beijing man sues Yao Ming over fish oil pill

A Beijing man is suing Yao Ming for endorsing an apparently misleading health food product, according to china.org.cn.

Feng Changshun is seeking 500RMB from a Beijing retail chain for allegedly exaggerated the benefits of By-Health fish oil capsules, and requested $0.01RMB from spokesperson Yao Ming for his involvement. Beijing’s Xicheng district court will hear the case.

“(The lawsuit) is symbolic. I want (Yao Ming) to admit to infringements of my rights,” he said.

Guangdong factory waste dyes river red, blue

Waste from a Guangdong factory dyed a waterway magenta and blue on the afternoon of May 12, according to Guangzhou Daily.

A Huizou printing plant apparently illegally discharged its rubbish into the small waterway about 12 p.m. that Tuesday. Dyed red near the factory and blue upstream, residents noticed the bizarre colors immediately, and sent pictures to Yuanzhou county officials and posted them online.

An intrepid gang of pigs punched through the roof of an overturned semi-trailer truck on May 11, according to People’s Daily.

The Sujiahang Suzhou company truck was apparently traveling too fast around a left bend, flipped over and smashed through a highway barrier rail about 12 p.m. on May 11. Three were injured after a double-decker bus smashed into a Wuhan bridge on April 27.

The bus was traveling the wrong way on Wuhan Changqing Road, couldn’t detour and smashed into He Zhujiadun Railway Bridge about 12 p.m. that Sunday, according to news21.cn.com.

Three farmers with only primary school educations were arrested for establishing “New Dengzhou People’s Government,” a makeshift-governing agency located in Henan province on April 21.
