Mao Xinyu, grandson of China’s founding father Mao Zedong,. In 2010, His promotion to the rank of major general in the army his grandfather co-founded eight decades ago has put him under the spotlight of the Chinese public. Many people questioned his qualification of the promotion and decried it was a promotion of nepotism and "Promotions and government appointments should depend on a person’s ability, not their name, even if that name is Mao."

“Mao Zedong” film casting not yet finalized, but many Weibo users know who they want

Casting for the highly anticipated film Mao Zedong has not yet been finalized, but Weibo users seem to know who they want playing Mao. Tuesday Hostage situation in the street caught on camera

A hostage situation was developed in City of Guiyang, Guizhou province. A man was caught stealing a motorcycle by the public  took a young girl hostage with his knife to get away. Eventually the hostage was successfully rescued and the criminal booked. The entire hostage rescue process was captured on camera.
