"Pressure pushing down on me
Pressing down on you, no man ask for
Under pressure that burns a building down…"

Queen’s "Under Pressure" might come in handy to describe the feeling of the passengers waiting at a bus stop in Foshan City, Guangdong Province. On Nov 3rd, Foping Rd bus stop was seen covered in debris and fallen scaffolds from a nearby demolition project. However seeing that the bus stop was still standing strong, commuters continued to wait for their bus under great pressure.

"It is scary to take the bus here, the roof looks like it can crash any minute." Said Mr Lu.

"The demolition company is out of line, nobody comes to check, our lives are in danger now." Complained another passenger.

A worker still working on site said: "Our leaders ask us to take down this building, we are just following the process."

As for the safety of the passengers, he commented:"Should be fine."

  1. In most Canadian cities you don’t want to stand in the bus stop at any time, it’s a target for crazy car drivers to hit and will run anybody over in the bus stop and kill them dead.

But these guys here are too lazy to move to the next bus stop, so it is OK let it be.

  2. Hey you guys mention Queen’s Under Pressure but fail to mention ZZ Top’s Waiting for the Bus… come on

  3. Most of China’s developing urban areas look like that. It’s not unusual to see rubble.
