Building cement cones under highway bridge to drive out homeless

Affecting the city’s image with homeless people sleeping under the bridge, it was reported that some people in Guangzhou built cement cones to discourage people to sleep over there, which lead to a hot discussion in Weibo. Reporters from Nandu daily discovered that the underneath area of a number of bridges and viaducts in Guangzhou, Baiyun and Tianhe were covered with cement cones. The anti-homeless bus stop benches

Yesterday Netizen “Jujuber” complained on the forum post, the newly constructed bus stop benches at Renmin Road in Chengdu are too narrow and too slippery, “can’t even fit my butt”. Reporter visited five bus stations and found that the new benches were indeed not popular among people. The relevant department responsible for the design said such unique shape has its reason – to prevent homeless from sleeping on them.
