Anhui woman finds condom in fish stew, manager swallows condom

A Anhui restaurant manager swallowed a condom after arguing with a customer over whether or not she deliberately put the contraceptive in her food, according to Hefei News.

Illegal food processing plant in Nanjing found using hydrogen peroxide

On March 14, an illegal meat processing plant in Nanjing was found to have pig trotters immersed in a hydrogen peroxide solution.

Just another food scandal: landfill becomes cattle feedlot

After melamine-tainted milk, drainage oil, fake egg, colored Mantou, lean meat powder pork, shrimp washing powder etc etc, China recently introduces another food “innovation” in Changsha, Hunan Province – garbage beef. Cattle live on garbage in a landfill till they are old enough to be butchered and served on dinner table.  Netizens teased that these cattle are as strong as Chinese: immune to all kinds of food poisoning.

I am not going to say which city, which restaurant, I don’t want to lose my job. But I want to talk about the current situation of the drainage oil (地沟油). I am working at this sizable restaurant as the head chef, so I know some information about this.

Our restaurant’s waste oil is usually produced in two ways: the used oil after frying many foods and the waste oil from the water after washing dishes and pots.
