Chinese Dissident, Liu Xiaobao Formally Arrested

 DW-World: Well-known Chinese dissident, writer in Beijing Liu Xiaobo (刘晓波) after being house arrested by the police at a secret location for over six month, is formally arrested for “suspicion of inciting subversion of state power”. This also means that the case against Liu Xiaobo officially launched judicial proceedings.

One of the Founders of “the Tiananmen Mothers” Ding Zilin – Waiting 20 Years for an Answer

“64” incident victim’s family, one of the founders of “the Tiananmen Mothers” Ding Zilin (丁子霖) once again appealed to the Chinese government to admit its mistakes, as “64” vindication of the Patriotic Democratic Movements of students.

Ding Zilin’s son Jiang Lian (蒋捷) in June 3 1989 at Tiananmen Square in solidarity with the protesting students was shot dead by the People’s Liberation Army. He was only 17 years old.

150,000 People in Hong Kong Candlelight Vigil to Commemorate 20th Anniversary of “64”

President of Hong Kong Alliance in Support of Patriotic Democratic Movements Sito hua (司徒华) announced in the evening, this year’s “64” 20th anniversary evening gathering has over 150,000 participants attending.
