A ChinaHush reader posted this on our Facebook page. From the video, you can tell this happened at a train ticket agency in Wuhan, Hubei Province.

  1. What’s the big deal about someone mad at a ticket seller? One of the top stories on the international news is the China central bank’s report that government officials have fled to Canada and the USA with over $120,000,000,000. That seems like something Chinese people should be hearing more about.

    1. I agree fully. Chinamen are inherently evil and corrupt – it’s in their genes. That would never happen in the West.

We try to teach them morals and rationality, but their brains just cannot comprehend it. The only solution is to encourage a war in East Asia so that China is wiped out. Then we can place temporary leadership in China until they have learned democracy and freedom.

      The less Chinamen, the better.

        1. Not just mainland, but Hong Kong as well – they are all worthless. That’s why I propose we bomb them all and then use the remaining Chinese as Slaves.

          1. Some of the hongers are passable. There are ones of the lower income tier who are rude little cunts.

          2. I posted this on my chinese nationalist forum with translation. You laowais get the f**k outta china.

            1. while i dont agree with these racist comments, you chinese nationalist are equal scum. f’*k your little forum. there go translate that too lowlife.

            2. OK. When all the Chinese go back to China, you can see your request happen. Until then, tell your rich Chinese bosses to stop inviting uneducated ‘laowai’ to China to teach your kids. No invite, no laowai. We don’t invite you to our countries, but you come. You invite us, and we HARDLY want to come.

        2. I mot has more class than you arried one you ape and she ot only has more class than you abusive foul-mouthed barbarians on this forum. she has adegree in mech enginering and is the cleanest woman I have met and her gorgeoud daughter (like her mother) is almost qualified as an electronics engineer and you what?? a beer swilling good ol,.boy fromalabama who cleans toilets for a living or just stays home, picks his big nose and waits for your social security chek to arrive or ru just waiting for urmummy to make your din dins Its obvious you know nothing about the chinese culture but are easily influenced by what others write. you’re a dead set candidate for brainwashing by the NWO

      1. Since you assume that Chinamen are inherently evil and the fact is that Chinese minority in America is one of the fastest growing, it means that you can stop thinking how to “teach them morals” and start your own re-education.

        1. I applaud your courage at confronting these trolls. But considering brains are not considered mandatory for commenting online, the effort doesn’t really seems worthwhile… kudoos for the thought tho.

    2. I am Canadian I think this guy is a F@#king moron. Everyday we foreigners run into a similiar situations like this in China. But, we don’t go yelling and screaming “I am a Canadian and I don’t have to shut up”. I would suggest to get out of China and stay the f@#k out. Foreigners have enough problems without this shit.

  2. Mainland Chinese behaves way worst in Canada, i mean the FOB one
    here are the examples:
Parents let their kid pee in public place
    Butt in line
On the highway If they missed an exit, they just reverse until they get to the exit
They expected every Asian could speak Mandarin
In a restaurant, they demand on service instead of request on service
At work, most of them cut corners to meet objective on time

    1. “Parents let their kid pee in public place”

This I can attest to because I saw it at Yaohan mall in Richmond, BC. Stupid bitch and her little shitlet pissing in a planter outside.

      1. SO WHAT HAVE YOU SEEN WHTA THE INTERNATIONL BANKERS AND ARAB OIL GANGSTERS REAP DILY FROM THE PEASANTS LIKE USLY WHEN CAUGHT HE WILL PAY QUITE DEARLY

      2. SORRY BOUT LAST POSTING BUT LAPTOP AND i ARE HVAVING A CONSTANT BATTLE ABOUT TYPING VERSUS A GLITCH THTA LIKES TO DISTORT WORDS AND SENTENCES IT USUAL WINS. bEING MARRIED TO A NATIONAL CHINESE cHRISTIAN i GET TO SEE cHINA THRU VERY DIFFERENT EYES AND CANNOT ENDORSE ALL THE ANTI CHINESE ENTIMENT AND YOU ALL NEED A LARGEDOSE oF JESUSCHRIST, IN YOUR LIVES

    2. The traits you talk about refer more to Chinese from Hong Kong. Don’t get it mixed up and try and brush up your English.

  3. stupid canadian. knows the laws before you visit the country. as of 2011, you do need passport to buy tickets and to board the train.

    1. Of course he is upset, but he did overreact. So a thief steals his passport in Dalian and he has to go to Beijing to get a new one. Does he have to walk to Beijing? And don’t talk about laws until you get every Chinese to obey the law in China (or at least in Canada).

    2. Speaking as a foreigner who has been here (in mainland China) for more than 5 years, I certainly don’t condone this fellow’s behavior, but it’s also perhaps fair to recognize that foreign expats in China might have difficulty keeping up with all the changes to various Chinese laws, especially when the local populace so often skirts adherence to many of said laws. I’m curious how well the law was advertised. I wasn’t aware of it until quite recently either.

So to some degree I can at least understand why he lost his cool even if it’s not exemplary behavior–and certainly not helpful in improving perceptions of foreigners. This is the sort of situation where a passive-aggressive eruption might occur (the summer heat with 100% humidity probably doesn’t help, either.)

  4. So whats the deal here he needs a passport to travel on the train probably because hes a tourist. So show your passport and stop acting like a typical cry baby fucking tourist. I could be wrong but then i dont know because all you’ve linked is a youtube video and told us thats its in china. How about an explanation? What exactly is the point of posting this video other than to incite more hate and negative feelings towards china?

Heres a suggestion translate at least one article about china that doesnt have a negative spin on it and instead put china in a positive light.

And you people wonder why this website attracts racist shit heads like korean guy who happily spread hate, and unbelievably isnt moderated at all.

Im done here, your blog is pathetic.

  5. That white guy is probably an American, lol. Amurrikans love pretending to be Canadians.

  6. wow that is terrible, what is happening to canada lately? They are turning into the trailer park of America.

    1. Why is it terrible? A Man who is frustrated with bullshit regs that change daily from a bullshit regime? Ok la you so smawt la take a photo la.. He showed them a photo copy which is not legitimate form of ID and that was fine. He is right it could be fake or anyone so what purpose does it serve!? Hes already in the country. DO they think he’s there illegally? Tell me who the hell would use a fake passport to enter China and why…!?!?!?

Trailer Trash? I think hes was pissed cuz hes had enough of the local filth as it is….

      1. he’s in their country and has to play by their rules. Otherwise go to France. I’ve been to China many times and have heard the stories a lot about the passports. This is no surprise at all!! He is ignorant thinking because he is a westerner they will bend the rules for him. You are required to have an actual passport, if he didnt have his then he needs to contact the Canadian Consulate to get help. China is not a democratic nation.

And canada is where they rioted over a hockey game, its as stupid as american’s rioting over basketball and the rest of the world over soccer.

      2. I would like to add maybe not try and buy it from a satellite office, go to the train station yourself and maybe they will try and help.

        1. So many gook simidas in this site.

LOL! Don’t kimchimen have something better to do?

          1. Well you are a racist asshole and I am a white american. You can hide behind anonymity on the internet and pretend you are a tough guy all you want. Or we can discuss these things like adults. Either way, keep up your way of thinking as long as you want and see where life takes you.

  7. so china is the only country that needs to scrutinize a foreign passport for 2 hours before they can get train tickets. . . . was the ticket vendor using dictionary manually flipping through pages trying to figure out the things written there or something? anyone want to clear that up?

    1. you need a passport to buy train ticket, this guy only has a photocopy, and he got mad over it.

  8. The dude is an asshole. He should have just stood there and been like “I don’t understand, I’m a stupid foreigner.”

Yelling only works sometimes. The truth is, the people working the booth don’t give a fuck about regulations. He needed to chill out and just stand there and act a fool.

Or he could yell and scream.

At any rate, I think he was drunk. Furthermore, its not “the government” that is a problem in this case, and the problem he experienced is not limited to Chinese people, the problem is little bureaucrats the world over who enforce government bullshit. Any government needs willing slave-enforcers. I suppose the only difference is that in China, many people see this kind of lowly servitude as a badge of honor. Good little slaves, now have a cookie.

  9. what I find annoying is that I need a passport to stay at a hotel in China. Why does one need to present a passport or other document to stay at a hotel? Who cares about having a passport or ID as long as I have sufficient money to pay for it.

    1. Its because it isnt america, it is china and they track everyone not just tourists. Friends in Tianjin have to file paperwork to visit me in Beijing. Actually its how their country has worked for milleniums so this is as much of a historical aspect as it is a communist one.

      1. I think you are lying. I have never had of of my Chinese friends or my wife’s relatives “need to file paperwork” to come visit me in Beijing.

        1. I’m curious about this, too. Maybe he means foreign friends needing to file paperwork. The local PSB (mileage may vary from district to district) can be very uptight about foreigners allowing other foreigners to stay over (thus avoiding getting documented by staying at a hotel).

Anyway, the passport requirement just seems like one more sign that CCP hardliner paranoia is on the rise. That, and they spent a fortune on their brand-new high speed railway lines and don’t want to see them getting blown up by disgruntled Uighurs or Laowai.

    2. Its because it isnt america, it is china and they track everyone not just tourists. Friends in Tianjin have to file paperwork to visit me in Beijing. Actually its how their country has worked for millenniums so this is as much of a historical aspect as it is a communist one.

  10. Respect for ChinaHUSH not only posting stupid or just wrong Chinese behaviors.. Laowai are not always right as well..

In Rome act like Roman 🙂

    1. Don’t forget these classic continuations on that theme:

In Nazi Germany do as the Nazis do,
In the antebellum Southern USA do as the slave-owners do,
Among the lemmings learn the arts of cliff-diving and sucking seawater,
And among the Borg become one with the Borg. 🙂

Maybe we can further update that saying: While in China, get smacked around like the Chinese plebs do; meanwhile vent your spleen online where you can enjoy the anonymity of a troll on Chinahush/Chinasmack rather than being the subject of their articles.

  11. The ranter Canadian dude just made every foreign tourist travel more difficult. Ticket agencies sick of abusive foreigners could demand 100 points of ID Instead of just a passport because of some jerk who blew his top.

  12. How embarrassing. Look, it’s annoying to live in China sometimes… it’s frustrating. I think it’s stupid to have to present a passport to buy a train ticket too. But we need to try to separate the annoyances from the people themselves. He was being rude and mean because he was mad. That’s understandable, but not excusable.

I tell myself, when I get annoyed here, that I do not have to be here… I can go home. Like when a smoker lights up in our non-smoking office lobby, and I ask him to put it out, and he puts his lit cigarette in the trash can and then says, “Oh you can just put a little water in there, and it’ll be fine.” (as in, I should go get the water)… And yes, I want to smack him upside the head, but I remind myself that there are idiots everywhere – not just in China. In China, the idiots have Chinese characteristics, of course… : )

That guy was super un-classy – a total reminder of what I don’t ever want to become here. Be annoyed, get mad – China is super frustrating in some ways – but have an outlet for your frustrations other than taking it out on a train ticket seller. Then try to contextualize it – and if you can’t, maybe it’s time to go home.

Chinese people are not so different from you and I.

  13. I don’t think that’s really a Canadian. It’s an imposter, trying to frame Canada. He’s dressed in black and he’s got a rye+coke and it’s obviously a character based on Julian from the Trailer Park Boys tv show.

    1. No, that accent is profoundly Canadian. It’s not always us Americans who are the assholes.

      1. I was going to say that too. Growing up in Detroit it’s very easy to tell canadians and americans apart.

      2. Maybe he’s a cheesehead. The way he said “I am a Canada person” seemed like he was trying to be understood by others around him that he was Canadian. He probably didn’t show his passport because he was American and wanted by the FBI.

  14. I love racists, especially those bark all day long on the internet showing off their ignorance. Great fun to watch. Thank you guys.

    1. It’s all them darn terrorist activist whiteys running around in China, they make it hard for the rest of us to enjoy our travels in China.

      Backpacking idiots, go home.

  15. I can’t believe what I’m reading in the comments !
How can some foreigners back him up?
I’m french and I live in China for a long time and not one single of all my foreign friends would support such a behavior.
This is the behavior of a racist, and just the fact for a racist to live in a foreign country is something I can’t understand, if you’re racist, stays in your own country it’s still there that you’ll be less likely to meet foreigners…

You can be pissed of at some chinese rules that you don’t understand, you can legitimately be angry and sometime yell to show your anger like you would in your own country, but all the extra racists stuffs are purely stupid.

    1. checking passport just for a train ride? that’s racial profiling!
if anyone is racist, it’s the chinamen! and white must be treated different and respect with white standard. chairman mao is dead, get over it. stop treating guess like communist drones. we are not communist!

      1. Nope it’s not.
For ticket trains in China now they ask personal ID to chinese, so they ask passports to foreigners.
Your name is ChanHo, you’re an ABC?

  16. why couldn’t he just talk like a normal person. Chinese have no problem getting things done or negotiate if necessary, WITHOUT whining like a b-word all the live long day. Jesus talk about persecution complex.

  17. Many whiteys love to talk down to Chinese in and out of China.

Listen to them when they are in Chinatown, they trying to impress the Chinese masses.

May be just the Chinese girls.

  18. This is embarrassing. We don’t know this guy and he does not represent us in any way, shape or form. He’s probably American.

  19. hahahahah

you need a passport to get on a train!?

but the guy is right, no freedom in China and their f*king governments need to go!

  20. All the white Canadians in this world should be gased and put into ovens. White honky fags, they deserve deaths. First I will rape their women and children. We Chinese are the most superior race in this world, and you Whites, Canadians, Japs, and Gooks should realize this and bow down before our majestic Red flag. We are the smartest race in this planet and we will kill and liquidate all inferior sub humans. First we will take over the world through our genes and populate all the countries with Chinese then we shall overwhelm all the continents with Chinese. Then you shall bow before us and acknowledge we are the supreme beings and rightful rulers of this planet!

    1. Yes, we have whiter skin, high IQ, and we are superior. China should take over the world, put all Canadian in gas chamber, kill all SEA monkey for their land, nuke Japan, and enslave African chimp. We are the master race.

    2. oh and by the way, white power!!! wooot.

Sorry for pretending to be Chinese, but I really am lonely. lol.

  21. Fucking fat whites, listen up you blonde albino apes… it doesn’t matter because China ia the greatest super power right now. China is now an advanced industrialized nation with a super military that can defeat the evil Yankee army and navy. We have $3 trillion dollars in foreign reserves, we can buy you poor countries because we’re the most civilized and advanced country in the planet. Chinese are the richest and everybody is jealous of the super rich Chinese who are innovative with new technology. Most of the new high technology are now coming out of China. And everybody is envious of our living standards and our modern military. We can destroy the army of the Whities in the West easily with our mighty Chinese military.

  22. Hi I am the real freezingpoint from AsiaFinest. The opinion written under my name was not published by me or anyone I know. I have frequently spoken out against racism in the past in both Chinese and English medium forums.

That freezingpoint cannot write Chinese. We can ask him questions in Chinese and request him to respond in Chinese. I will also answer all questions asked of me in Chinese, in Chinese, in order to prove my identity. Thank you for listening.

  23. Hi, I am the real freezingpoint from AsiaFinest. Don’t pay any attention the poser above. I am the real freezingpoint. I know Chinese, the above poster doesn’t even know because he’s not Chinese and does not believe in the superiority of the Chinese race!

  24. Obviously this man is a cunt, however needing a photocopy of a passport to get on a train seems like a silly rule. But to me the biggest issue is he said “7 year and I need a fucking passport to get on a train”. My assumption is that he had been here for seven years and never learned Chinese? Seven years doing who knows what and made zero effort to do anything?

  25. Just for some clarification, the identification to BUY tickets is to stop scalping which is a rather large problem, especially during the Spring Festival. This has been a major complaint by many Chinese netizens and while it may be inconvenient, and unlikely that a foreigner is scalping tickets, there is very valid justifications for it.

  26. Have you thought that maybe Chinese citizens behave the way they do because the geographic space in which they live in, is so densely populated that this increases crime rates? China’s population size consists approximately of 1,331,460,000 people versus the U.S.A.’s population size which consists of approximately
307,006,550. Both nations are comparably in terms of their geographic land space.

  27. I see Chinese people screaming and raving on a daily basis, so I can’t really be too bothered if some foreigner lost it over the massive bureaucracy, randomly enforced rules, misinformation or plain lying to that are fairly common occourances around here.

  28. This is all because the Amerikan shit heads in the white house want all countries around the world to have their kind of homeland security.

And dummy China goes and out do the US in everything.

  29. This man is so flipping rude. How can he scream like that in front of all those Chinese people. I understand it must have been frustrating for him, but he seriously needs to understand how to restrain himself in public.

  30. Well, I know there has already been plenty of retarded comments here, but I thought I would add my own retarded view to the forum.

This guy is a total fucking embarrassment. Seriously, what a complete asshole. He’s basically epitomises the worst in, scumbag, douche-bag foreigner behaviour. I live in China and as an outsider, I am constantly conscious that my behaviour is being scrutinised. It didn’t used to be like this. Westerners used to be regarded warmly when walking on the street. Now, sometimes the hostility is palpable. It’s because of people like this.

I am careful to obey social norms and behave in a manner that is befitting of my culture (Australian). I hold the door open for women, allow people to pass first and just generally show courtesy.

HOWEVER, and this is a big however, Chinese must realise that as an outsider, some of your rules and regulations are very hard to comprehend. We all deal with it and obey, but after a while, after living in China for several years, I’m not surprised that foreigners occasionally blow up about things.

We all need to just relax, take a deep breath and remember that after all, we are all just people trying to deal with intercultural differences.

    Peace 😀

    1. Not all the outsiders are troublemakers but most troublemakers are outsiders in China.

It’s just like the muslims in the US, just keep an eye on them at all times and see where they go.

  32. Whilst I can understand his dilemma his arrogance is unacceptable. I am sure I can be called an arrogant Australian at time but that was over the top. He’d be called a foul mouthed Yobbo back here…and I’m 60.

  33. The Koreans on here going on about “savage Chinamen mistreating foreigners” are simply hilarious, because its Korea is a country FAMED for mistreating foreigners such as English Teachers. Read up on the number of English Teachers in Koreas who have been mistreated and LIED to.

Recently a British beauty queen left Korea before her competition due to constant sexual harrassment and being ask for sex in order to win. When she reported to the police, the competition manager took out his wallet IN FRONT of HER and paid off the police.

Notice how Korean trolls like Santa Klaws constantly want to “bomb the Chinese” and kill them all. This points to the real reason for Korean rage -> Jealously at the population and land that Chinese own compared to tiny, irrelavent Korea. Korea has never been an important country and never will be. It has always been a vassal to the current dominant power. Right now its the USA’s turn, so S. Korea is predictably its vassal.

  34. Koreans are the stupidest people on earth. At least the world respects China for its contributions and culture, where as Kimchi-lovers(which stinks like diarrea) do nothing but talk and their religion changes everyday, like christianity, buddhism etc. Whichever the wind blows.

    Experience: Life everyday in Japan.

  35. I’m a Canadian who has travelled to and lived in many different countries. In Russia I had to show my passport to buy a mobile phone. In Peru I had to show my passport when buying my train ticket and then had to show it again when boarding the train. In Italy we rented a private villa and the owners of the villa had to keep our passports until the end of our stay. In Turkey the hotel kept our passports until the end of our stay. I have more examples.

It’s not a big deal at all to have to show your passport when purchasing a train ticket in China. It’s a standard rule in many countries. It has absolutely nothing to do with Communism.

  36. I don’t condone this man’s actions, but it’s also fair to acknowledge that foreign ex-pats in China may find it difficult to keep up with all the changes to various Chinese laws, especially when the local public frequently ignores many of them. I’m interested in how successfully the law was publicized. I didn’t know about it till recently, just like monster warlords and life-like games.
