What’s the big deal about someone mad at a ticket seller? One of the top stories on the international news is the China central bank’s report that government officials have fled to Canada and the USA with over $120,000,000,000. That seems like something Chinese people should be hearing more about.
I agree fully. Chinamen are inherently evil and corrupt – it’s in their genes. That would never happen in the West.
We try to teach them morals and rationality, but their brains just cannot comprehend it. The only solution is to encourage a war in East Asia so that China is wiped out. Then we can place temporary leadership in China until they have learned democracy and freedom.

stupid canadian. knows the laws before you visit the country. as of 2011, you do need passport to buy tickets and to board the train.
Of course he is upset, but he did overreact. So a thief steals his passport in Dalian and he has to go to Beijing to get a new one. Does he have to walk to Beijing? And don’t talk about laws until you get every Chinese to obey the law in China (or at least in Canada).
Speaking as a foreigner who has been here (in mainland China) for more than 5 years, I certainly don’t condone this fellow’s behavior, but it’s also perhaps fair to recognize that foreign expats in China might have difficulty keeping up with all the changes to various Chinese laws, especially when the local populace so often skirts adherence to many of said laws. I’m curious how well the law was advertised. I wasn’t aware of it until quite recently either.
So to some degree I can at least understand why he lost his cool even if it’s not exemplary behavior–and certainly not helpful in improving perceptions of foreigners. This is the sort of situation where a passive-aggressive eruption might occur (the summer heat with 100% humidity probably doesn’t help, either.)

Just for some clarification, the identification to BUY tickets is to stop scalping which is a rather large problem, especially during the Spring Festival. This has been a major complaint by many Chinese netizens and while it may be inconvenient, and unlikely that a foreigner is scalping tickets, there is very valid justifications for it.
Have you thought that maybe Chinese citizens behave the way they do because the geographic space in which they live in, is so densely populated that this increases crime rates? China’s population size consists approximately of 1,331,460,000 people versus the U.S.A.’s population size which consists of approximately
307,006,550. Both nations are comparably in terms of their geographic land space.
I see Chinese people screaming and raving on a daily basis, so I can’t really be too bothered if some foreigner lost it over the massive bureaucracy, randomly enforced rules, misinformation or plain lying to that are fairly common occourances around here.
This is all because the Amerikan shit heads in the white house want all countries around the world to have their kind of homeland security.

Well, I know there has already been plenty of retarded comments here, but I thought I would add my own retarded view to the forum.
This guy is a total fucking embarrassment. Seriously, what a complete asshole. He’s basically epitomises the worst in, scumbag, douche-bag foreigner behaviour. I live in China and as an outsider, I am constantly conscious that my behaviour is being scrutinised. It didn’t used to be like this. Westerners used to be regarded warmly when walking on the street. Now, sometimes the hostility is palpable. It’s because of people like this.
I am careful to obey social norms and behave in a manner that is befitting of my culture (Australian). I hold the door open for women, allow people to pass first and just generally show courtesy.
HOWEVER, and this is a big however, Chinese must realise that as an outsider, some of your rules and regulations are very hard to comprehend. We all deal with it and obey, but after a while, after living in China for several years, I’m not surprised that foreigners occasionally blow up about things.
We all need to just relax, take a deep breath and remember that after all, we are all just people trying to deal with intercultural differences.

The Koreans on here going on about “savage Chinamen mistreating foreigners” are simply hilarious, because its Korea is a country FAMED for mistreating foreigners such as English Teachers. Read up on the number of English Teachers in Koreas who have been mistreated and LIED to.
Recently a British beauty queen left Korea before her competition due to constant sexual harrassment and being ask for sex in order to win. When she reported to the police, the competition manager took out his wallet IN FRONT of HER and paid off the police.
