Exactly. It's the disloyalty of the mistress we should worry about in the first place. Let's not forget he was forced to accept the bribes. Besides, accepting bribes being as common as adultery, who should we blame? The misstress of course. She has set him up. That naughty bitch. All else is fine. You can go back to sleep now...

Instead of looking at 20 years in a Chinese jail he should have just come clean to his wife and get proof of the blackmailing if the bitch went public. Cheating and having mistresses here is so common that people would forget it in a week.

I am pretty sure that if he had proof she would have thought twice about exposing his affair if she was looking at a prison sentence for blackmailing a government official.

It’s inevitable—if you ride, you will fall off. Even the quietest, most well schooled horse can spook, bolt or buck. This can result in your making an ‘unscheduled dismount’. There is no way to completely avoid falls when you are riding. And there is no way to guarantee you will fall without injury. But the following tips may help you lessen the impact of a fall while horseback riding. There is no sure way to avoid a fall or injury while horseback riding. Even knowing how to fall 'properly' is no guarantee you will not be injured if you do fall.

Avoiding the Fall:

•Ride a horse that matches your skill level.
•Make sure everything is secured so the saddle doesn't turn.

Prepare for a Fall

•Wear a government approved helmet.
•A c(r)ash vest provides extra protection for your family.
•Gloves give you better purchase on the reins and protect your greedy hands.

How to Fall

If you know you are going to fall, try to kick your feet free of the stirrups. Ideally you’ll have one of those long slow descents that nobody will notice and leave you sitting on your backside with your horse looking down at you in surprise. If not, try to roll out of the way of your horse’s legs. Don’t stick your arms out to break your fall as this may increase the chances of breaking a bone, or having parts sticking out that the horse may step on. Instead think of curling like a hedgehog, or crying like a crocodile.

After the Fall

Do a quick assessment: give your self a second to get your wind back and check for injury. If everything seems okay get up and climb back into the saddle. This will reassure yourself, your riding companions and your horse. Assess why you fell off, so that you can try to avoid making the same lame excuse twice. No matter what, try to hang on. If your horse gets loose, you will have a long walk home...
